South Coast Explorer - Waterfalls, Black Beaches & Glacier Views
This tour is a dream come true for nature lovers, packed with the stunning contrasts of Iceland’s landscapes—from white glaciers to black sand beaches. Your adventure kicks off with a pick-up in our specially modified Super Jeep, built to tackle Iceland’s wild terrain.
Our first destination is the mighty Gígjökull glacier tongue, an impressive extension of the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, known for its massive 2010 eruption. During this powerful eruption, millions of litres of melted ice surged down the mountainside, reshaping the landscape and leaving behind unforgettable marks. Before reaching Gígjökull, we’ll show you what those big tires are for as we splash through glacier rivers and freshwater streams, adding some extra thrill to the ride!
Next up is Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most enchanting waterfalls. Here, you’ll have the unique chance to walk behind the waterfall curtain and emerge on the other side, immersed in mist and awe. Then, we’re off to explore Iceland’s iconic black sand beaches, stretching endlessly to the horizon—perfect for some playful Super Jeep maneuvers!
On the way back, we’ll make a final stop at Skógafoss, a towering and majestic waterfall. While the driver inflates the Jeep’s massive tires for the return, you’ll have time to get up close to Skógafoss, taking in its powerful beauty before we head back to Reykjavík.
This unforgettable South Coast adventure offers breathtaking sights, thrilling off-road action, and memories that will last a lifetime!
