03C - Horses and Hot Springs
Experience a variety of scenery and impressions! We ride on excellent riding trails along the slopes of Mt. Reykjafjall and through a green forest. We then pass by hot springs in a geothermal area. This area is situated just above the village of Hveragerði and expanded dramatically during an earthquake in 2008. We continue along colorful hills above the village, which is know for its idyllic location between volcanic mountains and wide plains, to the stable area. We stop for some refreshments and learn more about the Icelandic horse before riding back to our farm.
Please note: The tour is suitable for all levels of riding experience from beginners to advanced. During booking process, we ask our clients to inform us about their riding experience, which helps us to choose the right horse for everyone. Beginners and experienced riders ride together. We always try to tölt as much as possible, but do not gallop for safety reasons.
